Silent Hill f, the latest entry in the renowned horror series, has received a fresh Japanese-language cinematic trailer, showcasing some of the most grotesque creature designs the franchise has ever seen.
To be completely honest, I was hoping for at least a glimpse of gameplay since it's been over two years since the game was first announced. Initially, I felt a bit let down by the lack of gameplay footage, but after witnessing the horrifying entities that the unfortunate protagonist, Hinako, will have to confront, I can say that today’s reveal left me thoroughly impressed. Additionally, the trailer provides a more in-depth look at Ebisugaoka, the eerie 1960s-era Japanese town that serves as the primary setting for the game.
As the next main entry in the beloved survival horror saga, Silent Hill f has remained shrouded in mystery since its initial announcement over two years ago. The game introduces an entirely new storyline, seemingly detached from previous titles, and features a fresh cast of characters. The narrative is penned by Ryukishi07, a celebrated horror writer known for the When They Cry series, which includes Higurashi When They Cry, Umineko When They Cry, and Ciconia When They Cry.
Silent Hill f is currently available for Wishlist on Steam and will also be launching on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Epic Games Store. However, a release date has yet to be announced.
While we await further updates on Silent Hill f, now is a great time to dive into some of the best horror games currently available.
